Indications
This product is used as antiprotozoal for prevention and treatment of babesiosis disease in horses, sheep, donkeys, mule and dogs as well as babesiosis in cattale. Imidocarb-sensitive protozoan according to type of animals are as follows: Cattle: Babesiosis bovis, B.bigemina; Sheep: B.ovis. Horses: B.caballi and B.equi; Donkeys and mules: B.caballi;Dogs:B.canis.
Dosage and Administration
Pharmacological dose: for treatment of Babesiosis, 1.2mg/kg body weight, 1mg/kg body weight, 2.4 mg/kg body weight and 3mg/kg body weight doses should be administration to cattle, sheep, horse and dogs, respectively.
Prevention dose: for horse, administration at 2.4mg/kg body weight dose for 2 days against B.caballi, at 4mg/kg body weight dose for 4 times in every 3days against B.equi followed by 7.5mg/kg body weight in following days is recommended. For dogs, prevention dose of 6mg/kg body weight is recommended.
