COMPOSITION
Each ml contains Dexamethasone sodium phosphate 2mg.
INDICAITON
Corticosteroid. Anti-inflammatory, anti-allergy and affect the role of glucose metabolism. For inflammatory, allergic diseases, bovine ketosis and sheep pregnancy toxemia.
DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION
For intramuscular administration
Horses: 1.25-2.5ml, 2.5-5mg daily
Cattle: 2.5-10ml, 5-20mg daily
Sheep goats and pigs: 2-6ml, 4-12mg daily
Dogs and cats: 0.0625-0.5ml, 0.125-1mg daily.
ADVERSE REACTION
There is a strong effect for water and sodium retention and potassium excretion. Have a strong immunosuppressive effect. High doses used for late pregnancy can cause miscarriage. Dogs can cause slowness, dryness of hair, weight gain, wheezing, vomiting, diarrhea, increased liver drug metabolic enzymes, pancreatitis, gastrointestinal ulcers, dyslipidemia, triggering or exacerbating diabetes, muscle atrophy, behavioral changes (depression, lethargy , attack). Cats are occasionally polydipsia, polyphagia, polyuria, weight gain, diarrhea or mental depression. Long-term high-dose treatment can lead to corticosteroid secretion disorders.
SPECIAL WARNINGS
Do not use for early and late pregnancy. Do not use for severe liver dysfunction, osteomalacia, fracture treatment, trauma repair period, vaccination period animals. Prevent abuse. Bacterial infection should be combined with antibiotics.Long-term medication can not be a sudden withdrawal, should be gradually reduced until the withdrawal.
