Description:
Neomycin is a broad-spectrum bactericidal aminoolycosidic antibiotic with particular activity against certain members of theEnterobacteriaceae e.. Escherichia coli, its mode of action is at the ribosomal level. When administered orall. only a fractior<5%) is absorbed svstemicall. the remainder remains as the active compound in the gastro-intestinal tract of the animalNeomycin is not inactivated by enzymes or food. These pharmacological properties lead to neomycin being an efficaciousantibiotic in the prevention and treatment of enteric infections caused by bacteria sensitive to neomycin.

Composition:Contains per gram powder	Neomycin sulphate 700 mg , Carrier ad 1g
Indications	sheep, goats, swine andveomycin sulohate 70% s is indicated for the oreventon and treatment of bactena enterituis in calives.poultry caused by bacteria susceptible to neomycin, such as E. coli, Salmonella and Campylobacter spp
contra indications!	Hypersensitivity to neomycin. Administration to animals with a seriously impaired renal function. Administration to animals with an active microbial digestion. Administration during gestation. Administration to poultry producing eggs for human consumption.
Side effects	Neomycin's typical toxic effects (nephrotoxicity, deafness, neuromuscular blockade) are generally not produced when it isadministered orally. No additional side effects are to be expected when the prescribed dosage regimen is followed correctly
Dosage	For oral administration. Calves, goats and sheep: 10 mg neomycin sulphate per kg body weight (equivalent to 14 mg/kg NeomycinSulphate 70% WSP) for 3 - 5 days. Poultry and swine300 g per 2000 litres of drinking water for 3 - 5 days. Note. for pre-ruminant calves, lambs and kids only.
Withdrawal times	For meat :Calves, qoats,sheep and swine: 21 days Poultry : 7 days.
Warning	Keep out of reach of children.
