Indication:
Prednisolone is a synthetic glucocorticoid indicated for the symptomatic treatment of inflammation and allergic reactions. It's used as a supportive treatment in ketosis, rheumatoid arthritis, bursitis inflammatory and allergic conditions in large and small animals.
Dosage and Administration:
Administer 0.5 - 2.5 mg prednisolone per kg bw (= 0.05 - 0.25 ml prednisolone 1% per kg bw). The loading dose should be determined per individual animal and should eventually be reduced to an effective maintenance dose. The injection should be given in the morning in order to not disturb the circadian variation in endogenous cortisol.
Articular cavity iniection, horses, cattle 50-120 mg/(depending on the lesion site), injection once every 4-7 days.
Withdrawal Period :
Meat: 21 days
Milk: 5 days
Precaution:
It has certain stimulation to the body organ. Inject at sites for large dosage.
Keep out of reach of children.
