[Pharmacology]
Pharmacodynamics: florfenicol is a broad-spectrum antibiotic of amide alcohols and an antibacterial agent. It plays a role by combining with the 50S subunit of ribosome to inhibit the synthesis of bacterial protein. It has strong antibacterial activity against various Gram positive and Gram negative bacteria. Pasteurella hemolyticus, Pasteurella multocida, and Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae are highly sensitive to flufenicol. In vitro, florfenicol has similar or stronger antibacterial activity to thiamphenicol against many microorganisms, and some bacteria resistant to amide alcohols due to acetylation, such as Escherichia coli, Klebsiella pneumoniae, may still be sensitive to florfenicol. Mainly used for bacterial diseases in pigs, chickens, and fish caused by sensitive bacteria, such as Pasteurella hemolyticus, Pasteurella multocida, and respiratory diseases in cattle and pigs caused by Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae. Salmonella typhoid and paratyphoid, chicken cholera, chicken pullorum, colibacillosis; Fish bacterial sepsis, enteritis, red skin disease, etc. caused by Pasteurella, Vibrio, Staphylococcus aureus, Pseudomonas hydrophila, Enterobacteriaceae, etc. Pharmacokinetics: Flufenicol is rapidly absorbed by oral administration, and the therapeutic concentration can be reached in the blood after about 1 hour, and the peak blood concentration can be reached within 1-3 hours. The bioavailability reaches over 80%. Flufenicol is widely distributed in animals and can penetrate the blood-brain barrier. Mainly excreted in its original form from the urine, with a small amount excreted in the feces.
Drug interactions
(1) Macrolides and lincomamines have the same action target as this product, both of which are combined with bacterial ribosome 50S subunit, and can produce mutual antagonism effect when used together.
(2) It may antagonize the bactericidal activity of penicillin or aminoglycoside drugs, but it has not been proven in animals.

【 Usage and Dosage 】 Intramuscular injection: One dose, 0.067ml per 1kg body weight for chickens; Pig 0.05-0.067ml. Once every 48 hours, use twice in a row. 0.0017-0.0034ml of fish, once a day.
Adverse reactions
(1) This product has a certain immunosuppressive effect when used above the recommended dosage.
(2) Embryonic toxicity, use with caution for livestock during pregnancy and lactation.
