Penicillin 20% Injection:
It is indicated for use in cattle, horses, pigs and sheep in the treatment of infections caused by susceptible organisms including erysipelas; navel/joint ill; respiratory tract infections including pneumonia and atrophic rhinitis; listeriosis;meningitis; septicaemia; toxaemia associated with Salmonella spp., Salmonellosis . Control secondary bacterial invaders in diseases of primary viral origin. The combination of penicillin and dihydrostreptomycin is especially useful in the treatment of mixed infections involving both Gram-positive and gram-negative organisms.

Composition
|
Each ml contains Penicillin G 200 000IU,Dihydrostreptomycin sulphate 200mg.Excipients q.s 1ml.

Indication
|
Arthritis,mastitis and gastrointestinal,respiratory and urinary tract infections caused by penicillin and dihydrostreptomycin
sensitive micro-organisms,like Campylobacter,Clostridium,Corynebacterium,E.Coli,,Erysipelothrix,Haemophilus,Klebsiella,
Listeria,Pasteurella,Salmonella,Staphylococcus and Streptococcus spp.in calves,cattle,goats and sheep.

Dosage and administration
|
For intramuscular administration.
Cattle: 1 ml per 20kg body weight for 3 days.
Calves,goats and sheep: 1 ml per 10kg body weight for 3 days.
The maximum dose volume administered at one site should not exceed 15ml for horses,6ml for cattle and 3ml for sheep.

Side Effects
|
-Administration of therapeutic dosages of penicillin G can result in abortion in sows.
-Ototoxity,neurotoxicity or nephrotoxicity.
-Hypersensitivity reactions

Precaution
|
Should not be used for animal which allergy to penicillin.Shake well before use.

Withdrawal period
|
For kidney:45day.
For meat:21days.
For milk:3 days.
