Tilmicosin is a broad-spectrum semi-synthetic bactericidal macrolide antibiotic synthesized from tylosin. It has an antibacterial spectrum that is predominantly effective against Mycoplasma, Pasteurella and Haemophilus spp. And various Gram-positive organisms such as Corynebacterium spp. It is believed to affect bacterial protein synthesis through binding to 50S ribosomal subunits. Cross-resistance between tilmicosin and other macrolide antibiotics has been observed. Following oral administration, tilmicosin is excreted mainly via the bile into the faeces, with a small proportion being excreted via the urine.
Usage and dosage: Mix drinking, 75mg Tilmicosin was added to 1L water, continue use for 3 days.

Indications: |
Tilmicosin fort injection is indicated for the treatment of bovine respiratory disease (BRD) and ovine respiratory disease (ORD) associated for the control of respiratory disease in cattle at high risk of developing BRD associated with (pasteurella) haemolytica. |
Dosage and Adminstration: |
Inject subcutaneously in cattle and sheep only. Administer tilmicosin a single subcutaneous dose of 10mg/kg of body weight (1ml/30kg or 1.5ml/100 ibs). do not inject more than 15ml per injection site. Do not use in lambs less than 15kg body weight. If no improvement is noted within 48 hours. The diagnosis should be reevaluated. For cattle and sheep, inject tilmicosin under the skin in the neck is suggested. If not accessible inject tilmicosin under the skin behind the shoulders and over the ribs. For sheep injection in a skin told behind the shoulders and over the ribs is suggested. |
