| Pharmacological action | Anti worm drugs. Levamisole is a broad-spectrum nematode repellent. Its mechanism of action is to excite the plant ganglion of sensitive nematode, cause the insect to be excited, paralyzed and excreted. At high concentrations, levamisole interfered with the glucose metabolism of nematodes by blocking the reduction of fumaric acid and the oxidation of succinate.
